You'll find Will Rogers State Beach only 2 miles away heading northwest along the Pacific Coast Highway. This pristine stretch of coastline is actually as famous as a film and TV shooting location as a popular attraction. 1990s-favorite Baywatch filmed at Will Rogers for 10 seasons.

Today, it's all about classic beach fun: swimming, surfing, skin diving and volleyball are daily diversions. Will Rogers State Beach is also the beginning of the South Bay Bicycle Trail, one of our favorite outdoor attractions in Santa Monica. Venice Beach
At Venice Beach, sand and surf are only half the fun. Venice is best known for its lively promenade, also called the boardwalk. Every day, the paved pathway is packed with street performers, street vendors, inline skaters and people coming in and out from the beach. Opposite the ocean, the boardwalk is lined with popular boutiques and restaurants.

On the water, Venice Beach is especially popular amongst practiced surfers who follow the breakwater closely to find the biggest swells. Surfing at Venice Beach can be dangerous for novice surfers, so caution is advised.
